The Paris Summer Olympics may be officially over, but that hasn’t stopped Flavor Flav from hanging out with the women’s water polo team, meeting up with them for a fun-filled reunion on the strip.

Over the weekend, Flav, 65, invited some members of the team — which he sponsored during the Games — to celebrate with him in Las Vegas, where they stayed at the Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World, took in Carrie Underwood’s residency, dined at Fuhu and ended the evening with a big party at the Zouk Nightclub.

Among those from the water polo team who enjoyed the Vegas celebration were Maggie Steffens, Rachel Fattal, Jordan Raney, Ashleigh Johnson and Emily Ausmus.

Taking to his Instagram to share footage of the Vegas vacation, Flav wrote, “Brought some of the Team USA Water Polo Women out to Vegas,,, imma so proud of all these women. Look at all the support and attention brought to this sport and women’s athletics. We changing the game and that is something BIG to celebrate.”

The hip hop legend continued, adding, “Thankx to USAWP and all the players for welcoming me on the team and accepting my sponsorship. Paris was a special experience of my life and we just getting started,!!”

Back in July, during an appearance on CBS Mornings with U.S. women’s water polo team captain Steffens, Flav spoke to hosts Gayle King and Nate Burleson about his appreciation for the team, according to Billboard.

“These women out here… the women’s water polo team they out there bustin’ their butt to make United States look good,” he said. “And they chasin’ this dream, you know what I’m sayin’?”

As for Steffens, 31, she has welcomed the love, enthusiasm and support from rapper ever since he answered her Instagram plea for financial support. She told King and Burleson, “I was definitely surprised. I was really excited. When Flav responded it was definitely not who I expected. But it has been a beautiful, beautiful expectation and relationship that has changed and he’s really opened up a lot of doors and truly been a hype man for us. It’s been amazing.”

During the interview, Flav surprised Steffens with the news that his sponsorship of the team will include a Virgin Voyage cruise as well as a $1,000 bonus. “That’s amazing,” a shocked-looking Steffens said at the time. “I’m elated, that’s amazing. Thank you so much!”

Flav first talked about his partnership with Steffens and the rest of the water polo team with PEOPLE in May.

“[I heard that] the water polo team needed some type of sponsorship, you know what I’m saying?” Flav told PEOPLE. “And Maggie, I heard about a lot of your accomplishments and I applaud you. I heard you got some gold medals and all that great stuff. I want to see you continue that and further that.”
